Z-Mall Philosophical Design

Well, we believe that God is fulfilling prophecy. That as HE said HE would do, so is HE doing in Our Times. For, it is clearly written in the Holy Scriptures:

IN THAT DAY (now), SHALL ISRAEL (Jews) BE THE 3RD PART, WITH EGYPT (Arabs or Ishmaelites), AND WITH ASSYRIA (Nordics or Northmen); EVEN A BLESSING (of Unity) IN THE LAND! WHOM THE LORD OF HOSTS SHALL BLESS, SAYING: Blessed be Egypt (Arabs) MY People, and Assyria (Nordics) the Work of MY Hand, and Israel (Jews) My inhertance. (Isaiah 19:24-25)

Consequently, we have designed the central complex of Our Z-Mall around this Biblical concept of the Unity of Abraham's Descendants. This gives us the 3 main wings of Assyrians (Nordics, Northmen, Vikings--Christians), Egyptians (Arabs, Ishmaelites--Muslims), and Israelites (Jews). For, these Peoples all Believe in the ONE TRUE GOD of Abraham.

RELIGIOUS ORIENTATION

This also means that those who do not Believe, but rather hold to other gods or other religious affiliations (rather than that of Abraham and his Judeo-Christian and Muslim Heritage) are often excluded from the Z-Mall.

Some see this as discriminatory. And are repelled from Our Pages.

But many others see this as a heartfelt blessing. And are drawn to Our Pages, to bask in their Godly atmosphere. (Which is just what we, and God, want!) We hope that you are in this latter camp!

FUTURE SPACE GROWTH

The traditional view of the Religious Establishment is that Mankind will never reach the Stars. So, just do what you can, for the Lord, down here, on good old planet Earth.

Unfortunately, we find a lot of conflict with that opinion in regards to the numerous Passages in the Holy Scriptures that detail the coming Interstellar activities of Mankind--especially Believers. History of the Z-Mall Development

Back in 1996, when social services was beginning to wake up to the fact that I was handicapped and probably would be disabled for quite some time, they sent me to DVR (Division of Vocational Rehabilitation) to see if some kind of handicapped industry or business might be developed to support me (rather than welfare). As the Internet was just getting started then, and I had had some prior computer experience, I ran across an article on the possiblity of forming an e-mall on the Net. And, as by then, I was quite into the Viking Revival thing, I proposed doing a Nordic E-Mall that would funnel trade back and forth on the Internet between Scandinavia and America. Sounded good to me!

However, their administration balked, citing that 1) my mind was too far gone for me to undertake such a major intellectual work; 2) that to get the computer equipment to run an e-mall (complete computer server of my own with satellite dish) would take a major outlay of capital (which they didn't want to do); And 3) that even if I could put something together, the religious content of my e-mall would prohibit them from funding it (as it would, supposedly, be a conflict of interest between church and state). As a result, I was just dumped onto Social Security, to try to scrape along.

But, God had other ideas. One of the Christian businesses in town, got wind of my plight. And as they had a reasonable computer system with connections to a good server, they offered me the use of their system, to demonstrate that I could, indeed, undertake such an intelllectual work. Thus, the Viking Revival Web Site came onto the Net in 1997, with a small Page on the Viking Marketplace. But, DVR still cited No. 3 as blocking them from helping me.

So, when the back pay for my Social Security did finally arrive, rather than using it to buy a nice, new car (as some seem to think I should), I purchased a government surplus computer system. And, that system was given to the ZDK Foundation (to support Our Family and its Religious Heritage), with the Viking Revival Web Site being transfer to it in 1998--including the Viking Marketplace.

However, now enter bug-a-boo No. 2. DVR had refused to fund this project, because of its religious orientation. But, with the ZDK Foundation, we now faced a flip side of that coin. Originally conceived as a money making for profit venture (to support me in a handicapped industry), we now ran up against ZDK.F's non-profit status! How could we run something that made money, when we weren't suppose to be making money?

As a result, The Viking Marketplace was palced on the back burner and allowed to simmer for a long time.

Over the years, we tried to come up with various ways to reconcile this dilema. And the Viking Marketplace was change around a dozen times, to try to fit its new mold. But, it always seemed that it engendered doubts and questions in its various new modes (profit vs. non-profit), so they were never put on the Net.

However, in the Fall of 2000, we ran across a book on fundraising for non-profit organizations. And there we found that selling advertising in their bulletins, programs, announcemnts, and newsletters was a legitimately accepted avenue for non-profit groups to raise money. The light went on. And we became reshaping the various pieces of the Viking Marketplace that we had, into its even more formidible structure of the Z-Mall. After reviewing what we had for a few months, and kicking the questions around of profit vs. non-profit, it looked to us like this new form settled the issues. We had a legitimate non-pofit organization's means of raise money for the ZDK Foundation's various programs.

As a result, the Z-Mall was set on the Net in January of 2001, much as you see it now.
