RAS Harassment

A Modern, Personal Testimony

For those who think that Radical Anti-Semetic (RAS) Harasment is only a thing of the past (burried somewhere in the history section on Nazi Germany), we would like to wake you up to the modern facts of life. RAS is not dead (though, perhaps forgotten by some). And, OSD is running across contemporary accounts all the time. You just have to look (and be open to seeing what is there). In this vein, we feel compelled to share this following Testimonial with you. The names, dates, and places have all been changed. However, the victim is well known to OSD Staff and the facts of the case more than verifiable. Moreover, this is not something of the distant past (like World War II), but is relatively recent--and took place somewhere in the Pacfic Northwest. So, we feel that it is highly relevant! And, perhaps it will wake you up to what is going on out there.

When I graduated from college, I was very excited about getting a teaching job. And, we moved into our new community with anticipation.

My wife happened to be a Christian, so she took our family to church. I often went too, wearing my Mogen Dabid (Star of David). No one at the church seem to complain of my Jewish Heritage. And, in fact, many of the people became our good friends.

However, the Jewish issue seem to explode when I ended up doing a unit on the Middle East in my class. Honestly, I was not teaching religion nor preaching Scriptures at them, just showing them films of the Holy Land and trying to explain how the world's 3 great Faiths got started there (it all came out of the textbook). However, several students set up a protest that I was making them learn Jewish teachings and in fact, refused to take the Unit test on the subject. Then, the parents and the administration got after me to let the complaining students skip the grade for that Unit! (The other students were stuck with the grades that they earned.)

Once the Unit was done, I thought the issue would be settled. But, then some of these complaining students started using profanity in class. Or, more specifically, they started taking God's Name in Vain and uttered Blasphemies to my face. I tried disciplining the students, but they went to the administration, who then told me that they would not back me up to make the kids not use God's Name disrespectfully. Well, as you might guess, discipline went on a downhill slide from there out.

At this time, the gossip network seems to have started in on me. Not only was my Jewish ancestory brought up a lot in talking with community members, but I began to hear wild rumors that I was (supposedly) gay. That is way off and not anywhere near true! ((NOTE: Unfortunatley, this is all too common of RAS tactics!)) Well, the kids began to repeat it too. And, when I tried to discipline them to make them stop it, the students went to the administration again, and I was told that they would not enforce me denying that I was gay!!! Things got so bad, that one roudy boy student jumped out of his desk, ran up in front of the whole class, shouting obscenities, and basically propositioned me before all the other students. But, I couldn't even make him serve a detention for it, as the administration let him go.

Thinking that I had had a wild and crazy year, I stuck around for another year. (Besides, we had invested in a home and were unwilling to give it up.)

Then, I found my teaching budgets cut to nothing. My teaching assignments changed into things that I was not qualified for. And, when I complained to the Teacher's Union, they just basically said, learn to live with it.

However, I then began to get Neo-Nazi harassment notes. I mean: "DIE JEW!", emblazoned with swastikas or SS markings. And a few read: "Take the hint, JEW, and leave!" These I often found deposited on my desk or scrawled on my blackboard. I complained to the administration to no effect. I got them to report it to the local police but nothing was ever done. Finally, in frustration, I even contacted the local FBI office to see if I could get some help against this discrimination. But, to no avail! ((NOTE: Unfortunately, local police or even FBI are prime employments for RAS and they often use their position to cover-up their RAS friends.))

Then, the vandalism started. My classroom was vandalized. They even broke out all my windows in krystalnacht style! My car was hit by various attacks. And, my home began to be broken into while we were gone.

Next, I got mysteriously sick! We went to the doctor but he could find nothing wrong. So, we just thought it was stress. Then, I began to have wild nightmares of being poisoned. And, as this made me a bit more jumpy, I began to notice my lunch being tampered with. Sorry, I know it sounds paranoid, but I really have come to believe that I was poisoned, somehow. ((NOTE: Unfortunatley, RAS seem to be all too good at Chemical-Biological Warfare, so the poisoning is all too likely.))

Things at school continued to get worse. Then, one of the more burly boy students attacked me, by hurling rocks at me. And when I tried to get the administration to discipline him, the student said that he was only defending himself from my sexual harassment! So, he got off.

Well, I had made it through another year. But, that summer I really got sick! The doctor thought that I had some kind of pnemonia, but nothing they did made it better. So, I entered the next school year really cruising low.

That year was really wild! It seemed like all the horrible events of the previous year were repeating themselves. I repeatedly went to the Teacher's Union and complained of Religious Discrimination, but got nowhere! In desparation, I even contacted the State Human Rights Office, but got no help.

Then, one night, I awoke from a sound sleep to hear my daughter screaming. I snapped on the light and jumped into my slippers to see what was up. At that time, I heard our screendoor slam shut. I dashed out into our large living and dinner area to see both our front door and our back door wide open. (They were locked when I went to bed!) And, I heard my daughter screaming that there had been a man in her room. So, I dashed out into the dark and heard footsteps running up our gravel road. But, it was dark enough that I could not see who it was.

Well, it looked to me like we had just had a narrow escape, with my daughter nearly being kidnapped. And, this really began to make us wonder. Consequently, a few days later, I decided to resign and go elsewhere.

Now, I am nolonger in Education and have no desire or intention of ever returning! (The end.)
