THE LAWS OF GOD - #6 (A)
The Sixth Commandment and Related Scriptures
God has set forth HIS Laws in the Holy Scriptures for ALL Mankind to
know--and obey (Proverbs 14:34 and Isaiah 60:12)!
6. THOU (you) SHALL NOT KILL (Murder)
(Exodus 20:13 - Deuteronomy 5:17)...
The Pagan Peoples of the wicked world tend to be a blood thirsty lot,
willing to fight at the slighest provocation. But, the Hebrews or
Peoples of God are to be a quiet and peace loving group, for this is
pleasing to God. Moreover, while the life of the individual counts
for nothing among the Pagans, every individual soul is precious in
God's sight. And if we are to be a People who walks in God's Ways,
then we must have respect for life. Consequently, to take life on
our own (without respect to the Law) is one of the worst sins and
is to be considered a capital crime.
.A MURDER AND VIOLENT CRIMES
- ..1 WHY MURDER IS SO BAD:
In order to grasp the significance of just how bad murder is, we need
to look at it from God's perspective.
- ...a GOD'S IMAGE:
The Word of God declares: WHOSO (whoever) SHEDS MAN'S
BLOOD, BY MAN SHALL HIS (own) BLOOD BE SHED; FOR IN THE IMAGE OF
GOD MADE HE MAN! (Genesis 9:6) Thus, as God made
Man in HIS own Image, HE considers an attack upon a Man to be an
attack upon HIM! For Man is HIS visible Image and representation
to the world. (Which also pitches out, the popular feminist male
bashing--which is simply a veiled attack upon God's Image!)
- ...b BLOOD POLLUTION:
Moreover, the Blood of the dead must be properly handled, or it
will pollute the ground that it is spilled on. For it is written:
SO YE (you) SHALL NOT POLLUTE THE LAND WHEREON YE (you)
ARE; FOR BLOOD, IT DEFILES THE LAND! AND THE LAND CANNOT BE
CLEANSED OF THE BLOOD THAT IS SHED THEREON--EXCEPT BY THE BLOOD OF
HIM THAT SHED IT. DEFILE NOT, THEREFORE, THE LAND WHICH YE SHALL
INHABIT, WHEREON YE SHALL COME TO DWELL. FOR I, THE LORD, DWELL
AMONG THE CHILDREN OF ISRAEL. (Numbers 35:33-34) Thus,
the bloodshed of murder will defile the Land and supernaturally
pollute it so that God will not like to dwell there, and the
Presence of HIS Holy Spirit will withdraw, witholding HIS blessings
upon the places that are so defiled. So, keep the Land clean from
the Blood of Murder.
- ..2 KINDS OF MURDERS, KILLINGS, AND WRONGFUL DEATHS
Murder is without question, wrong! But, unfortunately, there are
degrees or shades of wrongful killings. We have classified them
below, in order from the worst on down to the least offensive kind
of assault or attempted murder.
- ...a MULTIPLE or REPEATED MURDERS:
the worst kind of murder is that in which the act was repeated, so
that more than one person lost their life (a purge)--for this is
the act of the anti-christ, himself (Judges 9:1-5; II Kings 11:1).
- ...b RITUAL MURDER or HUMAN SACRIFICE:
the next worse murder is that of ritualistic killing or human
sacrifice--for this is a horrible act of Idolatry as well, and is
frequently associated with Satanistry and the Occult (Leviticus
18:21, 20:2-6) or Hate Crimes.
- ...c ASSASINATION or CONTRACT KILLINGS:
both he who paid for or ordered the murder and he who performed
the killing are equally guilty here--and also guilty of
Gangsterism. (Deuteronomy 27:25; I Kings 21:5-14). (See, also
LAW-10.C.1 GANGSTERISM under High Crimes
with Conspiracies.)
- ...d HOMICIDE or PREMEDITATED MURDER:
killing involving the development and use of plans or schemes is a
particularly bad form, as the passage of time ought to have brought
the restraint of the person's conscience and since it did not, this
act indicates severly defective thinking that needs to be sternly
corrected by the Law! (Exodus 21:14; Numbers 35:20-21;
Deuteronomy 19:11-13).
- ...e PASSIONATE MURDER:
killing involving the heat of temper or strong emotions of the
moment are a lessor murder, but still very serious, for the
person's conscience ought to have held them back from such a
heinous crime (Exodus 21:20-21; Leviticus 24:17; Numbers 35:16-18;
Deuteronomy 19:6; Matthew 26:52).
- ADULTERY,
figures prominently here, for statisticts show that the
greatest percentage of murders are those involving love
triangles!
a-Frequently, the wife and her lover plot together to kill her
husband (and abscond with his wealth), and in that case this
should be considered a Contract Killing--see above, on this
list.
b-Or, nearly as often, the lover plans to do in the husband to
get his wife away from him, and in this case it should be
considered Homocide--see above on this list (Genesis 12:11-12;
20:2-6).
c-Sometimes, the husband discovers the affair and in a fit of
jealousy kills the lover (and sometimes his wife as well), so
in such a case, consider as Bestial Death--see below (Proverbs
6:32-35), for in this case, it is a lessor form of murder.
- FAMILY FEUDS,
(and/or subling rivalries) often produce passionate murders
(Genesis 4:3-8, 27:41, 37:18) OR other murders as
well--sort by type of murder given on this list.
- ...f NEGLIGENT MANSLAUGHTER:
this is a killing where the victim was not intended nor directly
targeted, but where reasonable care or proper caution or prudent
action would have clearly prevented this death, thus indicating a
lack of care or concern for one's fellow man (Proverbs 28:17).
Also, the concerns of environmental pollution may figure here, if
they should involve the wrongful death of those polluted.
- ...g FETOCIDE:
the killing of a late term, unborn child--as distinct from legal
abortion (Exodus 21:21-25). While common among Pagans, it is not
to be used among us (as God's People)--except for the greater
priority of concern for the health or safety of the mother.
- ...h BESTIAL DEATH:
a killing involving the attack of some beast or animal, which
ought to have been under the restraint or control of its owner or
trainer--and perhaps, where the victim should have exercized a bit
more caution around the animal himself, thus lessoning the Crime
even more. However, both the owner or trainer (on the scene) and
the beast are to be punished. (Exodus 21:28-30)
- ..i ACCIDENTAL MANSLAUGHTER:
a killing where the death has occured as the result of an accident
or some uncontrollable and/or unanticipated event--where it is
unclear but possible that the person may have saved the victim by
quick action or more prudent controls or behavior (Exodus 21:13;
Numbers 35:22-25; Deutronomy 19:4-5). Auto accidents are likely
to figure big here, if the driver could have prevented the death.
- ..j ATTEMPTED MURDER (Conspiracy):
an attempt to kill someone is technically a conspiracy to commit
murder and should be treated as if the murder was sucessful--see
classificaions above to figure what kind of murder it fits. (See,
also LAW-10.B Conspiracies.)
- ...k SUICIDE or SELF-MURDER:
a killing where the individual attempts to cause their own
death--and it is strongly banned in the Holy Scriptures
(I Corinthians 3:16-17). Moreover, as it is associated in the
Scriptures with the shock of defeat, tragedy, or the loss of God's
Spirit and Presence (I Samuel 31:1-5; II Samuel 17:23; I Kings
16:18-19; Matthew 27:3-5), counselling is more fiting than
criminal punishment.
- ...l KIDNAPPING or ABDUCTION:
while not actually a killing, this is still to be considered a
very serious, violent crime as it takes away the normal life of
the victim, and is to be considered very close to murder (Exodus
21:16; Deuteronomy 24:7; I Timothy 1:9-10).
- ...m BATTERY or AGRIVATED ASSAULT:
while not an actual killing, a violent, physical attack--where the
potential for being beaten to death or undergoing a life-long
crippling incident is present--is a very serious violent crime,
close to murder (Exodus 21:18-19, 20-21). Moreover, fines and fees
must be set to pay for the healing and restoration of the victim!
- ...n DEATH THREAT:
the serious, written or verbal threat to to kill someone is to be
considered close to a murder, itself (I Kings 19:1-3). And, if
plans or schemes or actions are present to carry out the threat,
then treat as an attempted murder, above.
- ...o ARMED ROBBERY or ARMED ASSAULT:
the use or visible display of a death dealing weapon in any crime
transforms it into a Death Threat, even if no actual threat was
uttered (Exodus 22:2; Proverbs 1:18-19; Luke 10:30).
- GRAVE ROBBERY:
while robbing a grave (or a dead corpse) is not actually murder,
it certainly raises the suspicion that perhaps the robber, in
fact, helped the deceased into the grave--so treat here, as an
armed robbery!
- ESTATE PILLAGING & PLUNDERING:
while pillage and plundering the estate of the deceased is not
an actual murder, it definately raises the suspicion that the
pillager, in fact, helped the deceased into the grave--so treat
here as armed robbery!
(Moreover, as inheritance is a major conveyor of wealth and
as estate robbery is often done by organized crime (to unjustly
obtain that wealth), any pillaging and plundering of an estate
should be investigated for evidence of organized crime
activities--see also LAW-10.C.1 GANGSTERISM
under High Crimes with Conspiracies.)
- ...p SIMPLE ASSAULT:
the unwanted contact, whether violent or not, with the person or
body of the victim is considered very dangerous, for it has the
potential for greater crimes, as above (Exodus 21:17;
I Corinthians 5:11). Therefore, before hugging, kissing, or
laying-on-of-hands to any member, be sure that you ask permission
FIRST!
- ...q RAILINGS:
verbal or written communications to a person involving the
derogatory use of profanity or cussing--for this indicates the
potential to do the victim violence, as above. See, also
LAW-3 on Blasphemy and Profanity, for if
the Name of God is used in vain, treat also as a Blasphemy case!
Also, be sure to check the words used for Hate Crimes issues, here,
that such evil not even get started! -
- ...r ACCESSORY:
to see a violent crime in progress, or to know that it will occur,
and to do nothing about it to stop it shall make the individual
guilty of being a party to the crime (Luke 12:47: James 4:17).
- ...s SELF DEFENSE (REPLY-IN-KIND):
the victim of a violent crime shall be held guiltless if he
responds to the attack in a level equal to, or corresponding to,
the attack upon him, measure for measure, in an attempt to defend
himself, his family, or those attacked (Exodus 21:23-25, 22:2-3).
- ..3 HATE CRIMES:
The Holy Scriptures teach that all Mankind (and Womankind) is of one
flesh and one blood, descended from the first Man, Adam (Acts 17:26).
Therefore, whoever teaches, preaches (inciting violence) or commits
acts of violence against individuals simply because of their race,
nationality, ethnic origins, or gender is not of God (Galatians
3:26-29; Colossians 3:10-13)--and is to be severely punished!
(Moreover, those who deal in male hatred or male bashing are to be
most severly dealt with as they are making assaults on God's Image.)
Rather, as People of God, we are to pursue peace and forgiveness
(Matthew 6:14-15; Romans 12:18; Ephesians 4:26-27; Hebrews 12:14;
I Peter 3:10-12;
- ..4 PUNISHMENTS FOR MURDER AND VIOLENT CRIMES:
Justice for violent crimes is the domain of the Nation, so we leave
it to Our Courts to set and maintain uniform rules on sentencing.
However, certain principles are clearly set forth in the Scriptures,
for even the Courts to follow.
- ...a CAPITAL PUNISHMENT:
Capital Crimes demand Capital Punishments and the death of the
criminal is required by his act of dealing death to the victim
(Genesis 9:6; Exodus 21:12; Numbers 35:33). Moreover, the
recommended method of execution is casting the convicted criminal
into a pit of fire to be burned to death, as a forewarning of the
punishment in Hell-fire to come (Genesis 38:24; Leviticus 21:14,
21:9; Jeremiah 29:22; Revelations 19:20, 20:13-15).
- ...b EXCEPTIONS:
However, bear in mind that there may be many exceptions, for God
does not delight in the death of the wicked (Ezekiel 18:23, 32,
33:11), but rather desires that he repents and turns from his
wicked ways. Thus, the goal of punishment for crimes is not to be
hatred or condmenation, but rather correction.
- IMPRISONMENT:
next to execution is long term incarceration and long terms of
imprisonment may be given appropriately for Capital Crimes
(Genesis 39:20, Ezra 7:26; II Corinthians 6:5, 11:23).
- SLAVERY:
an incarcerated inmate may elect (on his own) to serve out his
term as a slave by volunteering to offer himself for sale to
pay for his crime--and to compensate the victim--(Exodus 22:3;
Leviticus 25:44-46) and for which he is to receive a reduced
sentence or term of service. However, in such service, he MUST
be treated humanely (Exodus 21:20-21, 26-27) and may not be sold
in the area where the crime was committed nor to any of the
associates of the victim. See, also, regualtions on stealing
from slaves in LAW-8.C.7 SLAVERY.
- BANISHMENT:
those who cannot be brought to (capital) justice OR who
commit repeated, habitual crimes OR who rebel against the just
punishment of their crime may be stripped of their citizenship
and exiled or banished from the Realm (Ezra 7:26).
- SCOURGING:
whipping or laying on of stripes was often used in the Holy
Scriptures, so some form of it seems appropriate for the more
moderate violent crimes (Leviticus 19:20; Proverbs 19:29;
John 2:15; Hebrews 12:6; II Corinthians 6:5, 11:24)--perhaps
modern electo-shock behavior modification would even be
appropriate, here, as TREATMENT for the criminal behavior
(provided the convict would volunteer for it--earning him a
reduced sentence). However, keep in mind that there are limits
to scourging (Deuteronomy 25:2-3; Luke 12:47-48; Acts 22:25).
- FINES AND FEES:
it is an axiom that crime should not pay and those who engage in
violent criminal activity should be made to pay for their acts
so that they do NOT gain economic advantage over their
victims--and, rather, victims are to be compensated for their
lose(s), receiving just restitution for the crime against them
(Exodus 22:1-9). Moreover, in general, criminals can be expected
to pay court costs and legal fees incurred in dealing with their
criminal behavior.
- ..5 WEAPONS REGULATION (Gun Control):
While the right of the average citizen to keep, bear arms, and use
deadly force in defending themselves from violent criminals should
be respected (Exodus 21:23-25, 22:2-3), the right of the government
to regulated such arms activity must also be observed. Thus,
resgistration of all guns, firearms, and deadly weapons may be
required. And ownership of such weapons should be denied to those
who have a repeated history of violent crimes! (I Samuel 13:19-22,
17:45; Pslams 44:6-8; Hosea 1:7; Luke 22:37-38).
.B HEALTH AND SANITATION:
In order to prevent forms of slow murder or social suicide, care
needs to be taken with certain biological and enviromental
contaminants. To get the health rules for these, consult the following

.C RULES OF WARFARE:
Unfortunately. sometimes a whole society or Realm needs to deal deadly
force in order to adaquately defend itself. However, even in War,
where there is wholesale slaughter, the are restrictions on taking
another's life in an unjustified manner. So, to conduct War properly,
and earn God's favor to Our cause, we need to know and keep HIS Laws
governing warfare! So, to get the Rules for Warfare, consult the
