THE LAWS OF GOD - #5.B
Congregational Order and Related Scriptures
God has set forth HIS Laws in the Holy Scriptures for ALL Mankind to
know--and obey (Proverbs 14:34 and Isaiah 60:12)!
5. (Obey) HONOR THY (your) FATHER...(AND THY MOTHER)...!
.A ORDAINED FAMILY AUTHORITY--PATRIARCHY:
This issue of the 5th Commandment was covered previously. See at:
LAW-5.A, above.
B. ORDAINED CONGREGATIONAL (Community) ORDER--PATERNALISM:
(Hebrews 13:17):
OBEY THEM WHO HAVE THE RULE OVER YOU, AND SUBMIT YOURSEVES (to them);
FOR THEY WATCH OVER YOUR SOULS (AS THOSE THAT MUST GIVE AN ACCOUNT),
THAT THEY MAY DO SO WITH JOY, AND NOT WITH GRIEF--FOR THAT WOULD BE
UNPROFITABLE (non-beneficial) FOR YOU! (See also Numbers
11:1-15; I Corinthians 16:16) Consequently, various officials are
appointed by God (I Samuel 8:11-12; Romans 12:4-9; I Corinthians
12:28; Ephesians 4:11-12) to help rule over HIS Congregations (and
Communities), most of which are related to Music (Genesis 4:1;
I Chronicles I 9:33, 15:27, 25:7). Moreover, these officials are
clearly organized in the Holy Scriptures like greater Families,
extending the Commands to Family members to those of the Community.
Four of these are clearly set forth in the Scriptures (in ascending
order of authority):
- ..1 NETHINIM (Temple Servants):
These were simply the manservants (and maidservants) of the
Congregation, laborers (literally: slaves), who took the orders of
the Administration and carried them out--thus like young children
in a Family (Joshua 9:21; I Chronicles 9:2; Ezra 2:43, 7:7,
8:20; Nehemiah 7:46; James 4:10).
- ...a QUALIFICATIONS:
These are required to be under the traditional Hebrew Laws and
customs, such as given herein (Exodus 12:48; Deuteronomy
29:10-12; Joshua 9:25-27)--thus Members of Our Realm in good
standing for about 1 year (I Timothy 3:6).
- ...b DUTIES:
Their duties will vary widely, but basically they are to be
meanial laborers to do whatever they are called on by their
supervisor to do.
- ..2 DEACONS (Deputies--Assistants):
These were the appointed helpers and assistants (deputies) of the
Congregational Leaders and the stewards and managers to see to it
that the Leadership policies are carried out--hence they are often
viewed as older children of the Family (or executioners)
- ...a QUALIFICATIONS:
There are a variety of qualifications for being a Deacon--the
foundation being to at least meet the Qualifications for a
Nethinim (above).
- GENERAL:
good character, reliable, honest, trustworthy (Acts 6:2-3;
I Timothy 3:8-13; Titus 2:6-8).
- EDUCATIONAL:
Should have either a 1 year Bible School Certificate (or
equivalent) or 2 years experience as a Nethinim (I Timothy
3:10; II Timothy 2:15).
- MORALITY:
Should either be the husband of one wife (thus not
homosexual, nor promiscuous, nor polygamous, and not recently
divorced) OR celibate (I Corinthians 7:1, 7, 24-27, 32-35;
I Timothy 3:12)
- SPIRITUAL:
Should be Spirit-Filled and able to demonstrate some
supernatural evidence(s) of the Manifestation of the
Presence of God's Spirit (such as Tongues, Gifts, or Saved
Souls)--providing proof of being Spirit-led (Acts 1:8,
2:3-4, 6:2-3)
- ...b DUTIES:
As assistants, Deacons are assigned to various Elders, in their
respective departments or Standing Committees (which will have
specific tasks for them to carry out). But, in general,
the basic duties are:
- EXECUTIONERS:
to carry out the policies and decisions of the Elders
(Matthew 22:13; I Peter 5:5-6).
- WORKERS:
to be the hands and laborers for the running and operating
of the Congregational Programs (Acts 6:1-2; Philippians
1:1).
- HELPERS:
to assist in administering the rites and
rituals of the Clergy to the Congregation.
- TASKMASTERS:
to be the lead worker for the Nethinim
that may be assigned to them, or Archdeacon of other Deacons
for some special tasks.
- ...c DEACONESS (female assistants):
these are the Aged Women of the Scriptures (Romans 16:1-2;
Philippians 4:3), who, after they have raised their own Family,
are under restricted jurisdiction to minister to other women
and children--only (I Corinthians 14:34-35; I Timothy
2:11-14; Titus 2:3-4). However, Accolytes or young virgins
and Camay (marriagable maidens) may assist the Clergy in the
rites and rituals.
- ..3 ELDERS (Ancients of Wisdom):
Together, these form the Congregational Council or Board and
individually they are the heads of certain Standing Committees,
looking after the affairs of the Congregation (Community) in their
respective Departments--and in the Scriptures they are referred to
as overseers or bishops (I Timothy 3:1-2; Titus 1:5-7). And serve
as the Wife of the Congregational Family.
- ...a QUALIFICATIONS:
There are a variety of qualifications for being an Elder (or
Alderman)--the foundation of which is being able to fully meet
all the qualifications of Deacon.
- GENERAL:
There are several general requirements that Elders ought to
meet and uphold (Numbers 4:3; Luke 3:23; I Timothy 3:1-7;
Titus 1:5-9, 2:2).
- EDUCATION:
They should have either a 2 year Bible School Degree (or
equivalent) or 5 years of experience as a Deacon (I Timothy
3:10; II Timothy 2:15).
- MATURITY:
They should have faithful children (adult believing
offspring), demonstrating that they can deal with family
problems and give proper guidance and correction (I Timothy
3:4-5; Titus 1:6).
- AGE:
They should be at least 30 years old (Numbers 4:30; Luke
3:23; Timothy 3:6).
- DOCTRINE:
They should be firmly established in the Teachings of Our
Realm--and able to debate and reprove dissidents (I Timothy
3:2; Titus 1:9).
- ...b DUTIES:
The duties of Elders (or Aldermen) are more supervisory and
management orientated.
- PRAYER:
For God's Guidance and Help for the Congregation and for God
to deal with specific problems of the Body (Acts 6:2, 4).
- TEACHINGS:
For maintaining Sound Doctrine and the correct Teachings of
Our Realm--thus forming a kind of check and balance against
false shepherds and false teachers (Exodus 3:16, 4:29-30;
Acts 16:4, 21:18-19; I Timothy 4:1-3, 7, 13; Titus 1:9).
- SUPERVISION:
For overseering the Deacons and Nethinim in their carrying
out the tasks for the Congregation (Community).
- ASSISTANCE:
For helping the Clergy administer the rites and rituals of
God to the Congregation (James 5:14-16).
- ...c CONGREATIONAL (Community) COUNCIL:
The Elders (or Aldermen) are all (together) responsible for
operating the Congregational (Community) Council or Board for
overseeing the personnel and operations of the Congregation
(Community).
- ...d DEPARTMENTS:
The small Congregation shall divide its 6 Elders among the 6
Primary Departments or Standing Committees of:
1-Religion and Evangelism,
2-Education and Training,
3-Family and Counseling,
4-Government and Security (Bursar or Paymaster),
5-Economics and Trade (Treasurer or Bookkeeper),
6-Culture and Recreation (Fund Raising and Collections).
The large Congregation (100+) may divide these 6 in half
making 12 Elder positions (one half being for internal works with
memebers and the other half being with external works with
non-members and the local community).
Oversized Congregations (500+) may appoint an Assistant Elder
for each Department, thus allowing 24 Elder positions for them.
For Community Councils for Our Coming Nation, small
settlements (below 1000) get 6 Aldermen; large settlements (more
than 1000) get 12 Alderman; and oversized settlements (more
than 10,000) get 24; cities (over 100,000) get 50; metros
(over 1,000,000) get 70.
- ...e GENDER:
Elders shall not be female as there are no Elderesses to be
found in the Scripture--as it is considered a sexual perversion
in the Hebrew Community for a woman to supervise a man (Esther
1:22; Isaiah 3:11-12; I Timothy 2:11-14).
- ..4 MINISTERS or CLERGY (Pastors and Priests):
These are the Head or Manager (Magistrate) of the Congregation
(Community), as Shepherds or Pastors and Lead Teacher or Rabbi,
as well as minister or servant of God for the good of the local
Body--just as the Father is to be for the Family.
- ...a QUALIFICATIONS:
There are a variety of qualifications for being a Minister--the
foundation of which is to meet all the requirements for being
an Elder, except that age and maturity are substituted by more
education and training.
- GENERAL:
There are several general requirements that Ministers,
Bishops (Senior Pastors), or Head Elders ought to meet and
uphold (Numbers 4:3; Luke 3:23; I Timothy 3:1-7; Titus
1:5-9, 2:2).
- EDUCATION:
They should have either a Bachelor's of Theology, 4 year
Bible School Degree (or equivalent), or 10 years of
experience as a Congregational Elder and/or Deacon
(I Timothy 3:10; II Timothy 2:15).
- CALLING:
They should have a spiritual experience where God has
specifically set them aside to minister for HIM (Calling),
and must, consequently, be Spirit-Led (Genesis 14:18-19;
Exodus 29:1, 40:15; Leviticus 21:17-23; Acts 20:24;
I Corinthians 3:5)--and preferable be able to provide
some Manifestion of God's Spirit in their lives (Tongues,
Gifts, Saved Souls).
- DOCTRINE:
They should be firmly established in the Teachings of Our
Realm--and able to debate and reprove dissidents (I
Timothy 3:2; Titus 1:9).
- ...b DUTIES:
The duties of Minister, Pastor, Priest are supervisory and
management orientated--for he serves as the Father (or perhaps
grandfather) Figure of the Congregation.
- PRAYER:
For God's Guidance and Help for the Congregation and for God
to deal with specific problems of the Body (Acts 6:2, 4).
- TEACHINGS:
For maintaining Sound Doctrine and the correct Teachings of
Our Realm--thus forming a kind of check and balance against
the rise of local heresies (Exodus 3:16, 4:29-30; Acts
16:4, 21:18-19; I Timothy 4:1-3, 7, 13; Titus 1:9).
- SUPERVISION:
Chairing and Leading the Council of Elders for overseering
the Elders, Deacons, and Nethinim in their carrying out the
tasks for the Congregation (Community).
- PURITY:
They MUST NOT drink before administering the rites and
rituals of the Faith (Leviticus 10:9; Isaiah 56:12; Ezekiel
44:21), nor may they smoke or use tabacco (Leviticus 10:1-3;
Number 3:4, 26:61), but should attend on maintaining their
own personal holinesss (Exodus 19:22; Leviticus 10:1-3,
21:1-9, 22:1-13; II Chronicles 29:15-16; Ezekiel 44:15-31),
as, indeed, should all helping administer the rites and
rituals of God to the Congregation.
- ..5 DEFICIENCIES:
Due to the lack of manpower in some areas, if no fully qualified
candidate is available for the Congregational Office being
considered, then the most nearly qualified one around may be
selected as a TRAINEE (provided that they engage in a program to
correct their deficiencies). And, if none shall even be close to
fulfilling the requirements, then the most well qualified one may
be selected as a PRO TEM (until a better qualified one appears).
Thus, promotion from within the ranks is to be duly considered
(I Samuel 17:23-32; I Timothy 3:13, 5:17-18).
- ..6 FIDELITY:
While dual membership with other religious organizations or
community service groups may be tolerated among the general
membership, ALL Officers (and Ecclesiastical Officials) MUST take
and maintain the Vow of Fidelity--that they are not now, nor will
they be during their term of office, a member of any Lodge or
Organization of False Religion nor any such group as may have
interests in conflict with Our Realm, but will be wholely
dedicated and fidelic to Our Teachings and Goals. (Moreover,
should the contrary be discovered, then the offending official
agrees--by their oath of office--to forfeit all their lands and
assets in payment for such injury, and to pay whatever court costs
may be incurred in collecting such fines.) For the leadership of
Our Realm should not be subverted to the influence and control of
other groups, nor be seduced into following hidden agendas!
(Matthew 6:24)
- ..7 TERMINATION:
The termination or removal of Congregational Officials is the same
as for Ecclesiastical Officials, given below. (See LAW-5.C.5 APPOINTMENT AND REMOVAL.)
.C ORDAINED ECCLESIASTICAL (Denominational) ORDER--SHEPHERDING:
